Dr B R Ambedkar University (BRAU), Srikakulam is a state-owned university that was established by the Andhra Pradesh State Government in 2008. BRAU is recognised by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and is a member of the Association of Indian Universities (AIU). The University also has over 90 affiliated colleges under its umbrella along with 21 departments that collectively offer multiple courses in the fields of Arts, Science and Engineering.
