IMS University (formerly National Institute of Medical Sciences) is a self-financed medical and technical university located in Jaipur, Rajasthan, India. It is recognized by University Grants Commission (UGC), established under the NIMS University Act 2008 by the government of India. NIMS offers more than 500 courses in medicine, dentistry, pharmacy, paramedical, engineering and technology, management, architecture, humanities, fashion design, and law.[citaNims University's student medical clinics draw patients from a 250-kilometre radius (160 mi) of the university, providing free health care and treatment, and in certain cases free lodging, food and transportation.[citation needed] For efficiency, medical camps have been held in some villages.[citation needed]
