Miranda House is a constituent college for women at the University of Delhi in India. It was founded in 1948 by the then Vice-Chancellor, Sir Maurice Gwyer; its foundation stone was laid by Lady Edwina Mountbatten on March 7 in the same year. The college offers a wide range of undergraduate and postgraduate courses in humanities, social sciences, and basic sciences. Miranda House has a residential hostel for students, which is one of the largest women's hostels in India.
