Matiaburj College was duly established and recognized by a Government Order (G.0) after the successive inspection of the teams from the Higher education Department and the University of Calcutta. The classes started on and from 23.09.2008 in the premises of Matiaburj High School in the evening session, since the college building was under construction. The college building was inaugurated on 20.04.2010 in the presence of various dignitaries. Matiaburj College is running successfully since then.
