Marathwada Institute of Technology has been established in 1984 to cater the technical education in the rural part of Maharashtra. The institution spreads over 13 acres of land with separate hostel facilities for girls and boys. This Institute is approved by AICTE, New Delhi and is affiliated to Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Technological University, Lonere, Raigarh, Maharashatra, the state technical university popularly known as BATU.
