K.A.P.Viswanatham Government Medical College is situated in the heart of Rockfort City. The College is named in the memory of K.A.P.Viswanatham, who is a well-known Tamil scholar. K.A.P.Viswanatham Government Medical College was started in the year of 1997 to accommodate 100 Under graduate students(both State and All India Quota). Since the year 2007, Post graduate courses were also started. Mahatma Gandhi Memorial Government Hospital is attached to K.A.P.V Medical College.
