Government Medical College, Amritsar, also known as GMC-Amritsar, was established in Lahore, Pakistan in the year 1864. The college was later relocated to Amritsar in 1920 and is recognized by Medical Council of India (MCI).The institute offers MBBS at the undergraduate level, MD/MS in various specialisations at the postgraduate level, Diploma programmesat the Diploma Level.
