Yuvakshetra Institute of Management Studies (YIMS), a premier professional training college in Palakkad District, is one of the best of its kind in South India. The Sanskrit word 'Kshetra' means the place of gathering/ holy place. Here 'Yuvakshetra' represents the place of gathering and holy place of young people moulding them through professionalism, discipline and holistic development. YIMS is affiliated to the University of Calicut and managed by the Catholic Diocese of Palghat. YIMS was launched in 2005 with UG courses in Hotel Management Department.
