National Institute of Rehabilitation Training and Research [NIRTAR] was established in 1975 in Bhubaneshwar city. It is an autonomous body under Department of Disability Affairs, Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Govt. of India. It conducts three Bachelor Degree courses in Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Prosthetics and Orthotics, two Postgraduate courses in Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy.
