To fulfil the aspirations of the local people Rabindra Bharati Mahavidyalaya was established in 2010 as a general degree college. The college is affiliated to Vidyasagar University and is aided by Govt. of West Bengal. It is situated at the entrance of the district Purba Medinipur by the side of the Rupnarayan River. At present the college shares the premises of Kola Union High School in the morning shift and the college authority is trying their best for the construction of its own college building at Kolaghat town. The college is imparting teaching with Honours in Bengali, English, History, Sanskrit, Education and Geography. To bring prosperity in the local area by scratching the light of education and to inculcate the moral values the college is committed to provide excellence in higher education.
