Mekliganj College, established on 22 December 1996, is general degree college in Mekliganj. It is in Cooch Behar district. It offers undergraduate courses in arts. It is affiliated with Cooch Behar Panchanan Barma University. At first, it was affiliated with North Bengal University. In the year 2014, the University of North Bengal has extended affiliation in three new subjects – Honours in English and General in Geography and Sanskrit. Thus, these three subjects have been introduced in this college w.e.f. 2013-2014 academic session. Further, from this academic session (2015-2016) the college has come under the administrative purview of Cooch Behar Panchanan Barman University (w.e.f 30.07.2015). This year (2015-2016) the college has admitted over 1000 students invarious subjects under online admission process.
