Manbhum Mahavidyalaya, initially affiliated to the University of Burdwan (1986) now it is affiliated under the Sidho-Kanho-Birsha University, Purulia, was established in 1986, with a view to extending academic knowledge, offering scope for higher education and all round development to its students especially amongst the relatively deprived and backward sections of the people of the district. The college provides platform to cultivate a strong community feeling amongst the students of different communities and this creates a bond of love, respect and fellow feelings.
