The College owes its existence to the tireless efforts of late S. Ajmer Singh, former Minister, Government of Punjab, the illustrious son of soil and his team of selfless and saintly persons. The college is located on a stretch of 22 acres of prime land donated by Gram Panchayat Village Bondli on the Samra1a-Chandigarh National Highway. The institution came into existence in the year 1965 as a co-educational institution imparting education up to under-graduate level in Science as well as Arts faculty The missionary approach of the college is enshrined in the insignia of the college “Sarbat Da Bhala” that means “The Welfare of All” irrespective of any discrimination on the basis of caste, creed and religion.
