Khandra College, a co-educational institution imparting higher education, is located at Khandra, Dist. Paschim Bardhaman, West Bengal (Lat-23° 06’ 33” N &Long-87° 22’ 05”E). The college was established in 1981 under the leadership of Late Amalendu Bakshi, a local Philanthrope, to cater higher education among the boys and girls of the surrounding area, who were mostly first-generation learners. The effort was soon acknowledged by the Government of West Bengal, and in the year of its inception the University of Burdwan accorded affiliation to the college as a co-educational institution for higher studies..
