Government Industrial Training Institute, Centrl Prison, Trichy has been affiliated to National Council of Vocational Training under DGET, New Delhi. It is functioning under the control of Department of Employment and Training, Government of Tamil Nadu. On 08-02-2016 our new building opened by Chief Minister of Tamilnadu Selvi.J.Jeyalalitha . It aims to impart training only for prisoners into the age group between 15 to 50 years for men under Craftsmen Training Scheme. It is situated in Central prison Trichy. Training is imparted in 3 Engineering Trades and 2 Non Engineering Trades at this Institute. It helps to develop technical skill for prisoners to meet out the industrial needs.
