Chakdaha College, one of the oldest and most reputed Higher Education institutions, affiliated to the University of Kalyani, Nadia, was established as a Pre-University college in 1972 (continued till 1977), under the pioneering initiative of the-then Deputy Speaker of West Bengal Assembly.
