ICAR-Central Institute of Fisheries Education, Mumbai, the premier organization in the country engaged in human resources development in fisheries and aquaculture, celebrated its XIII convocation on 3rd March, 2017. Dr. Gopal Krishna, Director and Vice Chancellor, CIFE, has issued the physical certificates to 234 students including 23 PhD, 106 MFSc, students in presence and rest in-absentia. It is the first time, among the Deemed University of ICAR, the CIFE has issued the certificates with security features in the physical certificate such as QR code containing six digitized information, Bar Code, Invisible signature of the Vice Chancellor, Water mark, void/ copy on taking photocopy and many other features. The features were appreciated by the authorities and by the students. The degrees were conferred in the presence of Dr. Trilochan Mohapatra, Secretary, Department of Agricultural Research & Education (DARE), Govt. of India and Director-General, Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR),
