While most subjects will be computer-based, NTA has decided to conduct pen-and-paper tests for a few high-enrollment domains to ensure wider accessibility, especially in remote areas. Exciting, isn't it?

Filling Out Your CUET 2024 Application: A Handy Checklist


With registrations just around the corner, it's crucial to have all your ducks in a row for a hassle-free application process. Here's a checklist to ensure you don't miss out on any important details:


- Have valid ID proof ready - Whether it's Aadhaar, PAN, Digilocker, Academic Bank of Credit ID or Passport, you'll need one for verification.


- Note down your Aadhaar-registered mobile number - This is where you'll receive the all-important OTP for logging in.


- Access to a working email ID - Your application number will be emailed to you here.


- Make a list of preferred universities and programs - You'll need to fill these choices.


- Gather your 10th and 12th board details - Roll number, school name, board and pin code.


- Decide on exam city/centre as per convenience - The website will guide you through options.


- Keep soft copies of your photo and signature handy - Photo file should be under 200 KB and signature file under 20 KB in size.


Pro Tip: Complete the application in one go if possible, as your session will remain valid only for a stipulated time. You don't want to lose progress halfway!



CUET Application Form 2024: Step-by-Step Process


Step 1- Visit the official website of CUET 2024


Step 2- Read Instructions

Click on the tab ‘Register’ displayed on the homepage. Screen will display the ‘Instructions and Procedures for online submission of application form’. Read the instructions carefully and confirm by checking the box at the end to proceed with filling the application form.



Step 3- CUET Registration Form

Now the screen will display the CUET registration form. Candidates will be required to enter the personal details, address, and choose the password for future logins.


Now enter the security pin and click on the tab ‘Submit and send OTP’.


Step 4- Verification of OTP

Candidates must enter the OTP sent on their registered mobile number/Email address. Candidates will receive the application form after verification of OTP. It is important to take note of the application form and password created to avoid any last minute rush during important events.


Step 5- Now candidates can login with the credentials created. To proceed with the filling of CUET application form 2023, candidates must enter:

  • Application Number

  • Password

  • Captcha


Step 6- Complete CUET application form

In this step, candidates will be required to enter other personal details and click save to complete the form. If required candidates can choose to go back and edit any details. Refer below to know the particular CUET application form that has to be completed by the candidates.

  • Personal details

  • Address

  • Quota details (if applicable)

  • Qualification details of class 10th or equivalent

  • Qualification details of class 12th or equivalent

  • Examination centre details: preference 1 and preference 2

  • University/program selection: University and programme name

  • Test paper/subject selection: Upto 10 test paper and medium of each test paper

Step 7- Preview the CUET application form


Applicants must preview the details entered in the application form and may edit before the payment of the application fee. Applicants must check all of the checklist (personal details + Test paper selection + declaration) before the final fee submission.


After checking the details, check the uploaded documents by clicking on the ‘view’ tab.



Step 8- Payment of CUET application fee


In this step, the applicant may proceed with payment of the CUET application form fees. Applicants can pay the CUET fees 2024 by choosing different payment options. The examination form fee will be automatically fetched on the basis of the test paper selection. Refer to the table below to know the CUET 2024 application fee details:

Step 9- Save/Download CUET 2023 Application Form


After successful payment of CUET application fee, the screen will display the complete CUET 2024 application fee along with the details entered by the candidate.


Candidates must save or take the print of the filled CUET 2024 application form fir future reference.

The scoring will vary based on how many tests you appear for. For instance, if you take all 10 tests (3 languages + 6 domains + 1 general), your maximum possible score is:



Slot 1: 8:30 AM - 10:30 AM

Slot 2: 12 PM - 2 PM

Slot 3: 3:30 PM - 6:30 PM

You can take the language test in any slot, but domain tests will be divided across sessions based on subject groups and candidate numbers.

Yes, a candidate who wants to get admission to any UG courses in any Central University or its affiliated colleges for the academic year 2024-25 must appear in CUET (UG) - 2024.

The Undergraduate course I want to do, is not available in the list of 29 Domain Specific Subjects being offered in CUET (UG) - 2024? What should I do? 

Please check with the University where the course is offered to find out the tests that should be taken in CUET (UG) –2024 for the purpose of admission to that course.

How many attempts can I give in CUET? (UG) – 2024?

CUET (UG) – 2024, is meant for admission to UG courses of Central Universities for the academic year 2024-25. It is scheduled to be held only once as per details available in the Information Bulletin of CUET (UG) – 2024.

How will the University admit the students to their courses? 

CUET (UG) – 2024 has been designed in consonance with NEP where students will be able to choose the subjects for taking the test and each University will be able to see each student’s individual subject scores in subjects and admit students into their programmes based on their score in different subjects and languages.
